Don’t Miss the Shed Fest!
ShedFest – the grand, end of season celebration – occurs on October 16, the weekend after the last Salida Farmers Market.
It is an event in which the entire community comes together to celebrate the diversity, abundance and strength of our foodshed. In 2009 the venue will be at the Salida SteamPlant.
The day begins at 11 am with food preservation classes, an interactive foodshed expo, cider pressing, live music, food, films and panel discussions.
At 5 pm the evening gala begins and will include dinner, a keynote speaker and a contra dance with live music. The daytime activities are free to all, while the evening gala is a ticketed event.
